Afternoon Tea Experience

There's nothing more British than an afternoon tea. It's also not often that you are able to learn how to make your own version, especially in a local London home, but this is what we have for you.

We will demystify the whole thing, first by visiting some of the shops which make different parts of a tea - jam, cheese, cakes and - of course - the tea itself, before heading to a private home to get stuck in making your own scones or shortbread. Once you've nailed your bake, you'll then sit down in the front room to enjoy it fresh from the oven with jam and fresh cream. Delicious.

Included;

  • Your private Blue Badge Tourist Guide

  • Guide pickup at hotel (if required)

  • Full Afternoon Tea workshop in a private home

(Maximum group size in private home is 8 - for groups over 8, it will be in a professional kitchen)

Not included;

  • Transport - can be arranged upon request.

Tour duration; 4-5 hours

Available dates and times; Anytime - availability dependent

Price; please enquire

Heavenly Honey Experience

Bees are just wonderful, aren't they? They buzz around, keeping the planet ticking over, and in their spare time they create delicious honey. You might be surprised to learn that honey is as varied in flavour as wine, and that London is one of the most diverse cities on earth for bee species and honey.

We have the distinct honour of being the only tour company with access to an award winning London honey maker, Bermondsey Street Bees, where all the honey is made in Sarah and Dale's gorgeous London home. We visit their production line to find out how to make honey, before visiting their hives on the roof, dressed in full beekeeping attire, to find out how the hives operate, and try to locate the queen! We will then head downstairs for a honey tasting, perhaps with some of Sarah's homemade delicious honey cake. (2 hour experience)

For a longer experience of 3 hours, you will also learn how to extract honey yourself, which you can then take home. (subject to availability of honeycomb) Whichever experience you pick, you will have a wonderfully warm welcome, and go home sticky and happy, knowing lots more about honey.

Included;

  • Exclusive private tour in an award winning honey producer

  • Hands on experience with the hives, and chance to spin your own honey (3 hour experience)

  • Your private Blue Badge Tourist Guide

  • Guide pickup at hotel (if required)

Not included;

  • Transport - can be arranged upon request.

To note;

  • maximum group size of 10

  • minimum age of 12

  • All guests must have decent mobility due to large amount of stairs, and be ok with heights (no sheer drops, but hives are on the roof)

  • Please be aware that there are 2 dogs and 2 cats (all exceptionally friendly!) at the property.

Drink Tours

It's thirsty work, all that London-ing. Time for a refreshing pick-me-up. But hold on a second - should you go for a lager, an ale, a bitter, a crisp glass of bubbles, or a cracking gin and tonic? It's a tricky choice to make, so we've distilled them down just for you.

Gin Tours - Historic Gin Craze Walk

As London’s Gin Renaissance continues to grow, discover how it all began. London’s love affair with Madame Geneva goes back to the 18th Century, when the capital’s rapidly growing population was first introduced to the drink. The result would be so dramatic that it would take over twenty years and eight different acts of government to resolve.

On this tour we will be exploring the area around Seven Dials and Covent Garden, the bohemian heart of 18th Century London, hearing the stories of the heroes and villains of that area and the spectacular rise to fame of London’s favourite drink. Naturally, we will finish the tour with a glass of the very thing that nearly brought down London town.

Beer Discovery

We all know the Brits like nothing more than a glass of beer after a long day of work. There are, however, so many options - lager, IPA, porters, white beers - how do you know what to pick? Well why not taste them all?

We have gone straight to some of the amazing craft brewers in London - small, independent brewers who are opening their doors to us to go and experience their vast range of beers, and have a sneaky peek around their breweries to find out how they brew their pride and joy.

Included;

  • Your private Blue Badge Tourist Guide

  • Guide pickup at hotel (if required)

  • Private visit to 3 craft brewers

  • At least 10 tastings

Not included;

  • Transport - can be arranged upon request.

Tour duration; approx 3 hours

Available dates and times; Anytime - availability dependent

Price; please enquire

Maximum group size; 25 per group, multiple groups at the same time is possible
